New faculty fellowship highlights the success of online education at Iowa State

acorreiaIowa State University’s Engineering-LAS Online Learning system has named its first faculty fellow — Ana-Paula Correia, an associate professor from the School of Education whose research focuses on learning design.

The decision to create the faculty fellowship is in part an effort to publicize the success of online education at Iowa State.

Engineering-LAS Online Learning oversees the online education efforts of two colleges – the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering. Online course enrollment in these colleges is growing by 15 to 20 percent each year, aided by an arsenal of talented faculty members instructing the offered courses.

Dr. Ana-Paula Correia Named ELO Faculty Fellow

acorreiaDr. Ana-Paula Correia, Associate Professor in the School of Education and faculty member of the Human Computer Interaction (HCI) program, has been selected as a Faculty Fellow in ISU’s Engineering-LAS Online Learning (ELO) for 2015-2016. As ELO’s first Faculty Fellow, Dr. Correia will work to establish a research framework to support Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) for online courses and projects in the College of Engineering and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Students may join the program at the beginning of any semester and may take graduate courses in any order at a pace that suits their needs.  Classes are delivered online via digital streaming video.  Students may choose the day, time, and location to observe the class lectures allowing for maximum flexibility.

Dead Week Testing Center Locations

Two Testing Center locations will be open during Dead Week.

60 Carver and 2552 Gilman will be open Monday, December 8 – Thursday, December 11 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm. Also Friday, December 12 from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.
