What is an academic adviser?
Academic advisers are tasked with assisting students as they navigate through their academic program. The adviser-advisee relationship is meant to help students understand: academic policies, registration and courses needed to graduate, make academic choices that will help overall success, and gain insight into academic questions and concerns.
Who is my adviser?
Adviser listings can be found in AccessPlus. Once you are logged into AccessPlus, go to the Student Tab, and then click on Current Student Info. You should have an adviser listed here. If you do not have an adviser listed please contact ELO and we can assist you. Our information is listed under the Contact Us tab.
Academic advisers may need to provide students with special permission or registration access numbers (RAN) before a student can register for a course. A RAN is usually only needed for undergraduate programs of study.
