On July 1, 2011, Engineering Online Learning (EOL) and the LAS Center for Distance and Online Learning (CDOL) merged into one unit, Engineering-LAS Online Learning (ELO). This collaboration between the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the College of Engineering takes advantage of their different strengths in online learning – undergraduate coursework (LAS) and graduate coursework and degrees to off-campus students (Engineering). As one unit, the two colleges are realizing efficiencies and economies of scale, without duplicating services and functions.
