HPC (High Performance Computing)

Summer 2016 – Ongoing

The collaborative project between ELO Design, HPC, and ISU Research IT aims at guiding HPC and Research IT staff to develop training modules on high performance computing concepts and technologies. In addition, ELO’s Design team is helping HPC reorganize its existing resource repository.

Accessibility at ISU: Guidance for Staff & Faculty

Engineering-LAS Online Learning (ELO) hosted a series of four short workshops in Fall 2016 on Accessibility at ISU in collaboration with the Web Accessibility Coordinator’s office, the Student Disability Resources (SDR), and the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT).  In 2016 the sessions ran Sept 19th, Sept 27th, Oct 5th, Oct 13th.

Iowa Presidential Caucuses

Fall 2015 – Spring 2016

Iowa Presidential Caucuses MOOC, developed by ELO Design, was Iowa State University’s first foray into the world of MOOCs. It focused on the history, structure, and the future of the Iowa Presidential Caucuses. The MOOC was free to the public and was facilitated by University Professor, Dr. Steffen Schmidt. It was offered four times; each session lasted four weeks.  The MOOC had over 2,500 participants.
