Schedule Changes

Add/Drop/Withdrawal

Students should always consult their academic advisor before making any schedule change requests. Adding/dropping courses or changing a course from graded to audit or Pass/Not Pass can have serious implications on your academic success. Making any change to a schedule could impact your ability to graduate on time and may also have financial implications.

Schedule Changes

Adding and dropping classes can be done via AccessPlus with limited access after the first day of classes. If you would like to add or drop a course please first check AccessPlus.

Tuition Adjustment

Tuition is calculated from the first day of class onward. Informing your instructor of your wish to drop a course is not a sufficient way to drop the course; drops must be processed through AccessPlus or by contacting Engineering-LAS Online Learning (ELO) at elo@iastate.edu.

**In order to receive a full refund, you must drop the class no later than the day BEFORE the class is scheduled to begin. NOTE: Failure to attend or login to the course or failure to pay tuition does not constitute a drop. You can verify your drop on AccessPlus or through the Registrar’s Office. For more information on tuition and fees adjustment deadlines please visit the Office of the Registrar’s Tuition Adjustment page.**
