QuickTime Movie Recording (Webcam)

QuickTime Movie Recording uses the webcam to record a video of the user and his/her surroundings.

 

Instructions:

Step 1: In QuickTime Player, click on File and New Movie Recording.

Step 2: Make sure the webcam is turned on. The recording window will appear with the camera view. Click on the down arrow to adjust your settings or click the Record button next to the down arrow to begin recording. Click it again to stop recording.

Step 3: After recording, edit the video by clicking on Edit at the top of the page. The video can be rotated (Flip Horizontal/Vertical) or cut (Trim).

Step 4: When finished, save the video. The default format saves as .MOV file. Export the file if a different format is required.
