After finishing his Ph.D. in Second Languages and Cultures, Brooks Peterson promptly and respectfully declined a perfectly good job offer in the airline industry. Instead, he started a small company called Across Cultures. He has provided cross-cultural training and consulting to a variety of clients in corporate, military, medical, government, and academic settings. He has also taught graduate classes in international management, communication, business, and culture topics. The main focus of Across Cultures today is to support trainers, professors, and other professionals by providing the Peterson Cultural Style Indicator, and it’s in-depth companion, the book Cultural Intelligence: A Guide to Working with People from Other Cultures.
